Manager, Group Insurance Compliance

This role under Group Risk & Regulatory primarily provides regulatory compliance advisory to the insurance agency businesses of HKT Financial Services and ensures the relevant teams to operate in a strict adherence to the applicable legal/ regulatory requirements and internal policy standards.

Your new role

• Provide regulatory compliance advice and insight to support effective controls on the daily operation of insurance agency businesses of HKT Financial Services
• Design and implement the Risk and Compliance governance structure for the insurance businesses
• Coordinate with the 1st line Compliance and the Group Legal to enable the insurance businesses are operating in a strict compliance with relevant laws, regulations and internal policy guidelines
• Monitor the current insurance regulatory landscape and devise action plan corresponding to changes of regulatory requirements
• Organize training/ briefing with insurance businesses to promote their awareness of the Group policy requirements
• Liaise with the 1st line Compliance on preparation of compliance reporting to management/ relevant authorities/ insurance principals
• Support the review and evaluation of commercial deals and new initiatives of the insurance businesses

To succeed in this role

• University degree with minimum 5 years’ experience in regulatory compliance, preferably gained from insurance industry
• Sound knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and guidelines e.g. IA, MPFA, etc.
• Knowledge of life insurance and general insurance products is essential
• Prior experience in consultancy firm, risk management, liaison with regulator would be a definite advantage
• Proficient communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
• Self-motivated, independent team player with strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese

Candidate with less experience might be considered for an Assistant Manager role
