Vice President, Head of Group Finance

Position Location: Singapore

Role Overview 

Reporting to the Group CFO, the Head of Group Finance is responsible for Group reporting, statutory reporting and compliance for Console Connect. Working closely with regional offices, this role ensures the quality and timeliness of reporting into both shareholders according to group reporting schedule, and supervise the external reporting and both group subsidiary levels. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a team that supports business objectives with compliance of reporting at group and subsidiary level
  • Oversee extensive financial consolidation for the organization
  • Formulate new processes and reporting strategies to build a robust financial reporting framework
  • Work closely with internal and external auditors during the audit process, providing necessary documentation and explanations for consolidated financial statements and related transactions.
  • Support and ensure compliance in reporting and disclosures as required by the respective statutory bodies, audits, as well as internal procedures 
  • Develop and implement the financial reporting packages complying with the reporting requirement of both shareholders
  • Lead a highly competent and remote team from HQ with strong collaboration with other functions in corporate finance
  • Ensure relevant financial reporting standard is deployed across the organization for group and entity financial reporting under IFRS and local GAAP
  • Manage the relationship and engagement work of external to drive high quality of financial advisory services contributing to the overall financial reporting framework

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Finance
  • A Professional Accounting Qualification e.g. ACCA or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience with 5 years managing a global team remotely in a multi-cultural environment
  • Familiar with IFRS and group consolidation. Knowledge about lease accounting is a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge about financial reporting of telecommunications or NaaS industry is preferred
  • Prior working experience in an international audit firm with exposure to group reporting 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Candidates with lesser years of experience will be considered for a AVP role
  • Leadership qualities with demonstrated capability to build strong working relationships with different levels of stakeholders 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior working experience in investment firms
  • Prior experiences of managing financing shared service center
  • Prior working experience in reporting for listed companies
