Project Manager
Role Overview
This Project Manager (PM) will lead and coordinate end-to-end service migration projects. The PM will serve as the primary point of contact, responsible for managing project scope, timelines, risks, and deliverables while ensuring a seamless transition of network services with minimal disruption to business operations.
Project Managers are skilled at getting the best out of the people and projects they oversee.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of customer circuit migration projects, from initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Serve as the primary liaison between customers, internal engineering teams, vendors, and carriers.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and risk registers to ensure timely delivery of migration activities.
- Coordinate circuit provisioning, testing, and cutover activities across multiple stakeholders.
- Proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies, providing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Conduct regular status meetings and provide detailed reporting to customers and management.
- Ensure all migration activities comply with customer requirements, service level agreements (SLAs), and industry standards.
- Facilitate post-migration reviews to capture lessons learned and drive continuous process improvements.
- Manage change control processes for scope adjustments and escalations.
- Supporting team members on projects and bids to improve overall team performance
- Evaluating the success of the project against its benchmarking and sharing lessons or best practices with other organisations or project managers.
Experience/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of project management experience in telecommunications or IT network services, with a focus on circuit migrations, provisioning, or service delivery would be a plus.
- Strong understanding of Transmissions, WAN, LAN, IP networking, and telecom infrastructure.
- Proficiency with project management methodologies.
- Excellent communication, customer engagement, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or similar certification preferred
- Customer-focused with a strong service delivery mindset.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Able to lead cross-functional teams and manage third-party vendors.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Proactive, adaptable, and results-driven.
