Information Security Analyst

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Junior Information Security Analyst, specialising in Vulnerability Management. The successful candidate will work with our information security team to identify, analyse, and manage vulnerabilities within our organisation's systems and infrastructure. This is a full-time remote position with room for growth and development within our organisation. 

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the identification and assessment of vulnerabilities within our organiation's systems and infrastructure
• Analyse and prioritise vulnerabilities based on severity and potential impact to the organisation
• Work with system owners to ensure timely remediation of identified vulnerabilities
• Monitor and track progress of remediation efforts
• Conduct vulnerability scans and assist with penetration testing
• Assist with the development and maintenance of vulnerability management policies and procedures
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, trends, and technologies

Core Competencies, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• 1-2 years of experience in information security or vulnerability management
• Knowledge of vulnerability management tools such as Nessus, OpenVAS, or Qualys
• Familiarity with common vulnerabilities such as SQL injection, cross-site scripting, and buffer overflows
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred qualifications

• Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or SSCP
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls
• Experience with cloud security and DevSecOps practices
