Assistant Global Access Management Support (PCCWG Philippines office)
The Assistant Access Quoting Manager is responsible for sourcing suitable and competitive local access and collocation solutions from international carriers and local vendors aligned with region-specific sales requirements. S/he supports the overall Vendor Management department goal by implementing a vendor strategy and sourcing policy that provides the company with optimal options for services, pricing, and performance.
Specific duties include:
- Support Sales and Presales in meeting local access requirements for sourcing in-region capacity and quotations
- Negotiate costs and terms to deliver competitive commercial offers and suitable product solutions
- Review the Service Order Form to ensure alignment of quotation pricing and terms
- Monitor local vendor performance to guarantee fast response, quality, and reliability of services
- Support Sales and Pre-Sales with 1st level escalation to ensure vendor assistance
- Support cost-saving initiative, vendor database management, metric reporting and automation project matters
- Gather local market intelligence, including market price and demand trends for the Regional Head
- Assist the Regional Head to evaluate potential new vendors and support the vetting process
- Ensure the sourcing process complies with the company’s procurement policy and regulatory standards
Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of proven working experience in sourcing in the Telecom industry
- Moderate technical knowledge and telecom products (e.g. IPLC/IEPL, MPLS VPN, Internet, Colocation)
- Understanding of sourcing workflow and vendor evaluation process
- Detailed-oriented, well-organized, self-initiative, and able to work under pressure
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Flexibility to perform tasks outside regular business hours if required
- Proficient in written and spoken English, other language is a plus
- Skilled in MS Office and Google Workspace
- Experience with Jira, Trello, and relevant quoting software is an advantage
