Project Manager (Associate level) - FTC-12 (London, UK) - Immediate Start available
Fix-Term Contract - 12 months (maternity cover) / Full-time / Hybrid
Location: Liverpool St., London, UK
Level: Junior/ Associate level. This role is ideal if you're looking to transition into a Customer Project Manager position. We welcome applications from Junior Project Managers, Office Administrators, Personal Assistants, Office Managers, and similar roles as long you have a proven working experience as a project manager in the telecom or information technology sector.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Project Manager is responsible for providing quality support for provisioning and project management of Enterprise and Wholesale customer projects. Project Managers work closely with Sales, Pre-sales, Engineering, Finance, Operations and other regional project management teams to ensure that systems and documentation properly meet project specifications and cost requirements. Project Managers are skilled at getting the best out of the people and projects they oversee.
SOME OF YOUR TASKS WILL INCLUDE:
* Single point of contact managing the customer once projects are received into Service Delivery. Overseeing the project deliverables and ensuring that the scope is in line with the customer’s expectations
* Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects, ensuring quality standards are met and guidelines are maintained
* Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
* Ensure resource availability and allocation
* Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
* Active follow up at critical milestone points of a project:
- Pursuing vendors, partners and internal teams for committed dates
- Customer updates
- Scheduling of resources
* Perform risk management to minimise project risks:
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, report and escalate to management as needed. Implement contingency plans agreed with the manager.
* Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
* Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
* Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
* Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within the scope and the defined budget
* High level of customer service via effective communication throughout the project(s) lifecycle. Ensure accurate and frequent project updates status are provided to both internal and external customers. Maximum customer satisfaction is expected.
* Ensure all internal guidelines/processes are followed and all administrative work related to projects are accurately completed. The list includes:
- Budget Request and Purchase Request processes
- Accurate and regular updates in the internal systems (weekly)
- Review and update system project forecast (weekly)
- Promptly acceptance of vendor handovers to avoid payment issues.
- Ad-hoc reports requested by management
* Supporting team members on projects and bids to improve overall team performance
* Evaluating the success of the project against its benchmarking and sharing lessons or best practices with other organisations or project managers.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
* University degree holder with relevant professional qualifications is needed
* Proven working experience as a project manager in the telecom or information technology sector
* Technical background, with an understanding of telecom products and services
* Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proven organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
* PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus
