Business Development Manager Mob. and IOT (S.Africa) - Immediate start available

Full-time, Fixed-Term Contract (12 months)

Location: West Africa (Senegal, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Mali, Gambia, Togo, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Cameroon, or Gabon. Candidates from Ghana or Nigeria with excellent French language skills are also encouraged to apply)

Job Summary:

The Sales and Business Development Manager - Mobility and IoT is a seasoned Sales professional with a strong commercial and technical background in Mobility Services. This role involves promoting and selling PCCW Global’s portfolio of Mobile Data and VAS Services to MNOs, MVNOs, IoT Platform providers, and IoT aggregators globally. The position requires a deep understanding of Mobile data and VAS services, including IPX services GRX, LTE Diameter Signalling, SMS A2P monetization, and SMS Firewall protection. The successful candidate will support the Mobility sales team in marketing and sales initiatives, prospecting customers, and developing region-specific go-to-market plans.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential MNOs, MVNOs, and IoT players interested in our product portfolio.

  • Develop and nurture business relationships with customers to ensure access to RFPs.

  • Negotiate commercial terms of agreements and close sales in compliance with company processes and policies.

  • Support the onboarding process for newly implemented customers, ensuring all necessary documents are collected and shared with the provisioning team.

  • Collaborate with Mobility Presales and Product Teams to align products with customer expectations and market demand.

  • Build and maintain a network of local partners to support project delivery.

  • Present complex solutions to management through well-structured business cases.

  • Liaise with in-house technical teams and partners to coordinate client requirements.

  • Participate in exhibitions to promote the company's solutions and products to potential clients.

 

Requirements:

  • University Degree in Business, Economics, IT/Engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • Sales experience in MNOs, SMS aggregators, or International Wholesale Carriers is a must (3-6 years).

  • Background in IoT and IT System Integration is a must.

  • Proactive and target-oriented with connections in MVNO, IoT, and System Integrators (nice to have).

  • Strong experience in IPX services GRX, LTE Diameter Signalling, SMS A2P monetization, and SMS Firewall protection.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.

  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.

  • Fluency in English and French is a must; fluency in Arabic is a plus.

  • Flexibility to work independently and travel internationally within Africa (70% of the time).
