Senior Network Solution Officer

The Job

• To assist the Area Manager in the coordination of plant works for the provision of works in a timely and quality manner to meet internal and external customer requirements.
• Coordinate with regional plant teams to meet required project targets and deliverables.
• Coordinate with various outside plant contractors to ensure the project target can be met to the best interest of the company.
• Interface with other internal teams on project matters.
• Provide support to the team regarding workflow, data/inventory analysis.
• Provide updated guidelines to regional outside-plant teams, if required.
• Participate in special projects and prepare defined reports as assigned.
• To negotiate with external parties to ensure the best interests of the Company are maintained, or liaise with internal working parties to resolve plant and service issues.
• To perform ad hoc duty, undertake special assignments when required.
• To ensure that proper work practices are taken and staff and contractors follow the relevant procedures documented in the Quality Management System.
• To assist in on-the-job training and proper counselling/ coaching to staff or contractor staff.
• To assist in cost-effectively monitoring the works.
• To deputise the Area Manager as required.

The Person

• DSE and equivalent with minimum 5 years’ working experience, or Form 5 with 6 years’ working experience in respective industries. Special consideration will be given to those without the required qualification.
• Good knowledge and practices of computer operations.
• Good interpersonal, problem-solving and project management skills.
• Good supervisory, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good command of spoken Cantonese/English with Putonghua as advantage.
• Concise report writing in English/Chinese.
• Self-motivated, positive outlook and ready to participate in PCCW external project assignments within and outside Hong Kong.
