Senior Engineer, Transmission Engineering

We are currently seeking a motivated Engineer/Senior Engineer to join our transmission engineering team in Hong Kong.  

The engineer shall possess knowledge, skills and work experience in Transmission Network and Ethernet technologies and solutions for global service needs.

Key Responsibilities: 

• To support installation, testing and implementation in cable and transmission projects.
• To support normal and ad-hoc restoration and normalization works.
• To support manager to manage vendors in project activities.
• To produce engineering, planning and operations document when required.
• To provide technical and service support to the Network Operations Centres or Global Service Operations Centre when required.
• To provide technical, service and operational support including Emergency Call-Out (ECO) when required.
• To support network activities globally and travel when required.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in related disciplines. 
• 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience (Job title will commensurate based on experience).
• Candidates with at least 5 years of experience will be considered at senior level.
• Good work experiences with Data Centre / Telecom Operators / Vendors etc.
• May be required to work at irregular hours and remote locations in Hong Kong.
• Team player with initiative, eager to learn and deliver, and good communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Holder of valid driving license No. 1. Applicants undergoing driving test within 3 months may also be considered.
• Hands-on experience in using Testers and cabling works is an advantage.
