Senior Data Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to transform complex data into strategic business insights, leading projects, mentoring juniors, designing data systems, ensuring data integrity, and presenting findings to support business decisions, moving beyond basic analysis to provide solutions and drive growth. This role requiring strong statistical, technical, and communication skills to interpret trends and guide organizational direction. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in data analysis, strategic thinking, and team leadership. You will be responsible for leveraging data to drive business decisions and optimize performance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Collection and Management:
• Gather, clean, and organize data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Maintain and update databases and data systems to ensure reliable data availability.
• Data Analysis:
• Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions.
• Use statistical techniques to interpret and derive meaning from data.
• Reporting:
• Create comprehensive reports and visualizations to present findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Develop dashboards and other tools to facilitate ongoing monitoring of key performance metrics.
• Collaboration with Stakeholders:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide insights.
• Participate in meetings to discuss findings and recommendations based on data analysis.
• Data-Driven Decision Support:
• Assist management in making data-driven decisions by providing actionable insights and recommendations based on analysis.
• Support strategic planning efforts by providing relevant data analysis.
• Quality Assurance:
• Validate and verify data to ensure accuracy and reliability before analysis and reporting.
• Identify and rectify data discrepancies and inconsistencies.
• Tool and Technology Utilization:
• Use analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, R, Python, Tableau, Lookers, etc) to perform data analysis and visualization.
• Stay updated with the latest data analytics trends, tools, and best practices.
• Documentation:
• Maintain documentation of data sources, methodologies, and analytical processes for transparency and reproducibility.
• Create user guides and training materials for stakeholders to leverage data effectively.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Seek opportunities to improve data acquisition and analysis processes and methodologies.
• Provide training or support to team members in data handling and analysis techniques.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5 years of experience in data analysis or a related field.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Excel, Looker).
• Strong knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Lookerstudio).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts clearly.
• Experience in statistical analysis and predictive modeling is a plus.
