Product Development Manager

We are looking for a Product Development Manager who will manage the implementation and development of AI capabilities for HKT.

Your role:

• Develop, review, and maintain the product development plan which defines relevant team structures and resources, timelines and milestones, and critical dependencies between workstreams / Pod teams for AI initiatives.

• Track and update the development plan and timeline for sharing with the organization, management, stakeholders, and other relevant staff.

• Manage the entire cycle of AI technological solution design, development, and deployment, including but not limited to: analyzing business requirements, determining functional requirements, reviewing E2E solution design, managing the implementation schedule, controlling the cost and quality of works, and preparing documentation.

• Ensure SOW delivery by AI and technology vendors, and review deliverables to ensure quality.

• Effectively communicate product development matters to all levels of internal and external stakeholders.

• Engage with governance on product performance and change management matters.

• Mobilize the product development team in Hong Kong and offshore, and supervise the work and performance of all team members.

• Lead and control risk management processes related to AI product development, alongside ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

To succeed in this role:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.

• Proven 5+ years of working experience in product development or IT project management, with exposure to AI or machine learning implementations.

• PMP / PMI-ACP / Agile certification is preferred.

• Proficient in SDLC execution and business analysis.

• Excellent management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and deliver product rollouts on time and within budget.

• Self-motivated and proactive, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex business requirements by translating them into technical AI specifications.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

• Experience in vendor management and the management of outsourced development projects.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Project.

• Good command of both written and spoken English and Cantonese.
