Network Solution Engineer

Your Role

• Conduct Outside Plant project studies, primarily on fibre cable projects and PON provisioning;
• Monitor project progress and allocate adequate resources to perform site supervision and inspection as required;
• Analyse and optimise dark fibre link performance to ensure full compliance with customer requirements;
• Support new submarine cable, roadside cabinet, and electrical solution projects by formulating practical and efficient project timelines;
• Develop concise technical evaluation criteria for tender exercises and review specifications and company drawings related to fibre cable, copper cable, electrical products, and associated T&C requirements;
• Conduct sample evaluations to verify compliance with specifications;
• Liaise and coordinate with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and relevant parties to standardise working procedures and ensure smooth project execution;
• Communicate with OPS Section, Strategic Purchasing Section, and Stores Section to secure material supply with effective inventory control.

To Succeed in the Role

• Degree / Higher Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Civil Engineering or related discipline plus 3 years’ relevant experience; OR Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Civil Engineering or related discipline plus 5 years’ relevant experience; OR Form 5 or equivalent plus 8 years’ relevant experience
• Good knowledge of computer operation and applications
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, contractor management, and project management skills
• Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to take on challenges
• Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Senior Network Solution Officer
