Network Security Specialist

Your Role

  • Perform operational tasks such as implementing and configuring router, switch, Wi-Fi system, firewall, VPN, and proxy policies as part of Business As Usual (BAU) activities
  • Support network and security components round-the-clock in areas such as router, switch, Wi-Fi system, firewall, VPN, proxy, and various security tools like NSPM, SASE and NDR.
  • Lead network and security projects from design to implementation, coordinating with various stakeholders
  • Possess familiarity with a range of network and security technologies including Cisco, H3C, Aruba AC, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks (PA), Sangfor, Hillstone, Huawei, as well as other network and security components such as Ivanti VPN, MobileIron, Darktrace, NAC, Proxy, among others
  • Deploy and manage network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Darktrace, CrowdStrike, SIEM to track network performance and security
  • Promptly investigate and address security alerts, incidents, and breaches with efficiency.
  • Handle security events and incidents in a 24/7 environment to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities
  • Utilize Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools to troubleshooting, analyze security data and produce reports for management and stakeholders
  • Assist in the implementation and management of security controls, tools, and technologies
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to enforce security measures and address security challenges effectively

 

To Succeed in the Role

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in network and security operation role
  • Strong understanding of network and security principles, practices, and technologies
  • Experience with network and security tools such as router, switch, Wi-Fi system, firewall, VPN, SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and vulnerability scanners
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP/CCNA, CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are a plus
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills to interact with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Good analytical, communication skills & interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Team Player, self-motivated and work independently
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered as Network Security Engineer
