NOC Engineer(wireman)

The NOC Engineer is responsible for providing high quality of service for PCCW Global international Data Center; which includes timely provisioning, incident management and operation requests; as well as miscellaneous supporting and routine maintenance works related to the PCCW Global Network and Service Operations Center.

Major Responsibilities include:

• Perform a daily service support in the PCCW Global Network / Service Operations Center in Hong Kong different location
• To perform daily wirings and cabling works at Telecom House Data Center and other PCCW Global Pop sites as instructed by Supervisor/Manager.
• To receive requests (in English writing) from Data Center NOC to lay Fibers and different type of cables, connect it to customer rack equipment port as required.
• To prepare and perform the wiring and cabling cutover work at non office hours as pre-arranged by Data Center Manager.
• To carry out mechanical installation work to fit the needs of Data Centers.
• To maintain working environment by providing general cleaning and routine maintenance duties at Telecom House Data Center.
• To support Data Center NOC to handle equipment in/out; data entry to Inventory system and miscellaneous supporting works as assigned by supervisor/Manager.
• To fabricate different type of cabling (Cat5e UTP, coaxial..etc) and connector (RJ45, BNC...etc)
• Other related duties as assigned

Qualification/Skills

• Certificate holder or above in Electronic/Information Technology Engineering; OR
• 1 - 2 years of Data Center experience (Technical education/Training/Aptitude will be considered in lieu of work experience)
• Possess Certificate of Registration of Electrical Worker (Grade A) is an advantage.
• Basic oral/written communications skills (clarity and conciseness)
• Basic English and Chinese speaking; Fluent Putonghua is an advantage
• Customer-oriented good initiative, self-motivated and able to work under pressure
