Data Analyst

You will partner with the Sales & Marketing, Product, and Business Performance teams to perform data-driven analysis on business performance and market research, with a dedicated focus on Mainland Chinese and international customers. You will combine analytics, consumer insights, and market intelligence to generate actionable recommendations that deepen our understanding customer preferences, behaviours, and value. You will play a vital role in driving strategic decision-making and business expansion in the Mainlander and international customer segment.

Your role

  • Identify and execute data analytics initiatives to enhance our understanding of Mainlander and emerging overseas customer behaviours, segmentation, and end to end journeys.
  • Leverage programming and data engineering skills to perform data transformation and mining across large, complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and address unstructured business questions to support business growth in the Mainland China and international customer base.
  • Lead primary market research efforts for Mainland China and overseas segment including questionnaire design, online survey deployment, data analysis (quantitative and qualitative), and delivery of comprehensive insights reports.
  • Manage and support digital insight channels and live chat groups with major focus in Mainland China and international platforms (e.g., Xiaohongshu, WeChat, X /Twitter, Telegram), leveraging customer data collected to contextualize research findings and deliver actionable insights.
  • Monitor daily business performance related to the Mainland and international segment, identifying emerging risks and opportunities.
  • Apply cutting-edge data mining and predictive modeling techniques to analyze customer segmentation and behaviour, focusing on cross sell efficiency, engagement, and campaign effectiveness growth for Mainlander and international customers
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics assets that deliver clear, actionable intelligence to cross functional stakeholders.

To succeed in this role

  • University degree in Data Science, Statistics, Digital Management, or a related discipline.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience as Data Analyst or Business Analyst; experience with customer analytics in Mainland China customers is highly preferred.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate China and overseas market data into strategic insights.
  • Familiarity with Mainland Chinese and international trending super apps, payment habits and digital behaviours is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation, transformation, and analysis.
  • Hands on experience with data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent analytical thinking and structured problem solving skills.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with strong proficiency in Putonghua, and practical experience adapting content to suit Mainland Chinese linguistic and cultural contexts.
