Contract Manager
The Contract Manager will lead the end-to-end management of vendor contracts and governance processes, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and commercial optimization in alignment with the company’s sourcing strategy. This role oversees contract lifecycle activities across connectivity, colocation, and service agreements, securing optimal commercial terms, reducing contractual risks, and driving digital transformation, efficiency and value across Vendor Management operations to support the company’s strategic goals.
Your Role
1. Contract Governance and Commercial Management
- Manage the contractual lifecycle of agreements for Connectivity, Colocation, and CPE services, with a focus on increasing the efficiency of the department and the wider Vendor Management business unit in order to provide best value.
- Be responsible for contract drafting (subject to internal procedures), negotiation, renewal, and documentation processes with a focus on ensuring consistency, accuracy and favorable outcomes.
- Collaborate with Vendor Managers to ensure all vendor records and portfolio data are current and reliable in internal systems.
- Maintain standardized contract templates (in accordance with internal procedures) and documentation practices to improve operational efficiency.
- Integrate key contract insights into vendor performance metrics to support business decision-making.
2. Contract Risk Management and Compliance Oversight
- Identify and mitigate contractual commercial and operational risks, particularly high-value or strategic vendor agreements.
- Conduct regular reviews with Group Governance, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Ensure vendor assessments, onboarding, and renewals comply with group sourcing, procurement, and regulatory frameworks (including sanctions, taxation, data protection, ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and InfoSec).
- Provide expert guidance to the Vendor Management team on contractual obligations and compliance best practices.
3. Strategic Support and Digital Transformation of Contract Processes
- Collaborate with Legal, Procurement, and Finance functions to enhance contract modularity to account for complex requirements.
- Manage special project agreements, including frameworks agreements, rebate terms and conditions, and tier-based pricing agreements.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives to automate and integrate contract management workflows (e.g., HubSpot, Jira, or API-enabled platforms).
- Maintain dashboards and provide contract intelligence reports (e.g., renewal schedules, risk tracking, contractual rebate and discount visibility).
4. Stakeholder and Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, and other Procurement teams to ensure alignment on contract terms.
- Support VM Regional Heads and Sourcing teams to maintain global consistency in vendor contracting practices.
- Provide management reporting and audit support to senior leadership on key contract status, risks, and performance metrics.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions to uplift contract management and compliance capabilities across the broader Vendor Management team.
To Succeed in this Role
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Law, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
- 8–10 years of experience in contract management, sourcing, or vendor governance, preferably in telecommunications or technology industries.
- Proven success in complex contract negotiation, commercial optimization, and procurement governance.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate procurement policies, risk management, and compliance processes across multinational operations.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with Legal, Compliance, Regulatory, Procurement, and Operations teams.
- Experience with digital contract management systems and workflow tools (e.g., HubSpot, Jira, InSight).
- Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation and organizational skills.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is an advantage.
