Bid Specialist

Your role

You will be accountable for managing the end-to-end bid lifecycle in multi-disciplinary ICT (Information and Communications Technology) projects.  You will lead cross-functional teams in managing large scale and strategic bids from pre-qualification, strategy formulation to contract closing.

• Provide support to virtual teams to evaluate bid opportunities

• Lead virtual teams to develop and deliver quality bid proposals

• Structure winning deals by ensuring compliance with customer tender requirements

• Ensure adherence to Group policies and guidelines in bid process

• Work closely with internal business units (e.g. legal, finance and risk management offices) to conduct risk assessment and due diligence on tender projects

• Engage with customers in commercial and contract negotiations

• Provide the necessary support to ensure seamless project hand-over to the virtual team

To succeed in this role

• Degree holder in Business or IT discipline with at least 5 years working experience in ICT industry

• Familiar with ICT products and services and willing to develop bid management and contract management skills

• Bid management experience preferred

• Ability to deal with complex business relationships and manage multiple resources to deliver a strong, winning case to the prospective customer

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, excellent attention to detail

• Self-starter with a “can-do” attitude

• Strong communication skills and a good command of English and Chinese
