Assistant Vice President

Job Summary:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Assistant Vice President with a focus on compliance to join our procurement team. This position is responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies within the procurement process. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of procurement compliance standards.

Your Role:

  • Develop and implement robust compliance policies and procedures for the procurement department.
  • Ensure strict adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Conduct comprehensive audits and assessments to identify and mitigate potential compliance risks.
  • Collaborate with senior management and internal stakeholders to address compliance concerns and provide strategic guidance on best practices.
  • Stay abreast of evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices to ensure continuous compliance.
  • Lead training initiatives to educate procurement staff on compliance standards and procedures.
  • Investigate and resolve complex compliance issues promptly and effectively.
  • Prepare detailed reports on compliance activities for executive management review.

 

To succeed in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 15 years of extensive experience in the Purchasing and Supply field, with substantial experience in a senior supervisory capacity.
  • Demonstrated expertise in procurement within critical infrastructure sectors such as Electricity, Transportation, and Telecommunications is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record in compliance management, preferably within a procurement or supply chain environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to procurement.
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic problem-solving skills.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal abilities, with a capacity to influence and engage at all levels of the organization.
