Assistant Vice President, Group Communications (ESG)

PCCW Group is looking for an energetic team player for its Group Communications team focusing the Group’s ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) and being the driving force behind impactful community engagement that inspire and engage our diverse stakeholders.  From developing strategic plans to cultivating meaningful partnerships, you'll play a crucial part in amplifying our brand purpose and ESG commitments through sustainable and innovative community programs.

 

Your new role

  • Responsible for spearheading community engagement efforts and all aspects of the social pillar of ESG reporting matters, including the preparation of Social target, data and related content for the ESG report
  • Maintain and enhance the Group’s related policies, procedures and processes
  • Identify and drive collaborations with internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to non-governmental organizations (NGOs) on community engagement and sustainability programs
  • Explore and implement community-related sustainability initiatives and review impact/effectiveness of the programs to ensure efficient resource allocation
  • Work closely with internal (functional and business units) and external stakeholders (e.g. assessment and rating agencies, award and green label organizers and consultants) in community engagement and environmental matters, and manage the sustainability database
  • Strengthen the company’s brand identity by actively participating in community engagement / green initiatives and amplify the efforts through different channels such as intranet, internet, and social media, ensuring our values resonate with stakeholders and the wider community

 

To succeed in the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, environmental science, or related field is preferred
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in community collaboration/ESG and branding activities-related fields and industries
  • Proven track record in external stakeholder engagements, community investment activities and responsible sourcing is a plus
  • Experience in effective coaching of junior team members
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and project management skills and budget oversight capabilities
  • A detail-oriented team player with strong sense of responsibility, can-do attitude, collaborative and creative mindset
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadline and pressure
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
