Assistant Manager, Business Planning and Analytics

Role Overview

The role is responsible to support cross-functional team in developing and executing strategic business plans to drive growth and profitability for the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to ensure alignment with company objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Business Planning and Data Analytics

  • Utilize data analytics tools to derive insights from large datasets and inform business strategies
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing analytical findings and strategic recommendations for stakeholders
  • Conduct scenario analysis to understand potential business impacts and support strategic decision-making
  • Perform financial analysis and modelling to evaluate the feasibility and profitability of business plans
  • Recommend resource allocation, budgeting, and investment decisions to optimize business performance
  • Collaborate with IT and data teams to enhance data collection processes and ensure data integrity for analysis

 

Roaming and Wholesale Business

  • Support the Wholesale Manager in preparing commercial offers and maintaining customer engagement to ensure order placement and timely resolution of inquiries
  • Manage manual billing for wholesale customers, monitor customer payment status and compile individual customer payment reports
  • Coordinate with internal teams for SIM card procurement, delivery of sales orders and implementation of updated wholes offers for customers
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in the roaming and wholesales landscape
  • Maintain and regularly distribute update wholesale tariff information to customers
  • Monitor customer payment status and compile individual customer payment reports.
  • Provide regular wholesale customers statistics to the Finance team

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Statistics or a related field
  • Minimum 4 years’ relevant experience in business planning, data analysis, strategic management, or consulting in the telecom industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis, and project management tools
  • Adaptability to a dynamic, fast-paced environment and the ability to thrive under pressure
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge in SQL, Looker Studio is an advantage
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
