Assistant Engineer

Your Role

• Assist engineers in the design, planning, implementation, maintenance and operation of outdoor mobile radio network infrastructure;
• Manage and coordinate mobile site rollout projects, including site implementation, equipment installation, integration and acceptance;
• Install, configure and commission radio and transmission equipment in accordance with engineering standards and project requirements;
• Conduct site surveys and prepare survey reports, technical proposals, drawings, work procedures and related documentation;
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors and landlords to ensure project delivery meets timeline, quality and safety requirements;
• Monitor site progress and support troubleshooting of network and site-related issues;
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure network reliability and service availability;
• Participate in emergency restoration and ad hoc network deployment activities when required.

To Succeed in the Role

• Associate Degree, Higher Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering or related disciplines
• At least 3 years of experience in mobile cell site rollout, implementation, maintenance or telecommunications engineering projects
• Hands-on experience in telecom equipment installation, integration and commissioning
• Good knowledge of wireless network technologies, including LTE and 5G mobile networks
• Solid fieldwork experience in outdoor mobile site implementation and maintenance
• Experience in coordinating subcontractors, vendors and project stakeholders
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset
