Assistant Engineer, Radio Access Network & Operations Support Systems Engineering

Job Overview:

We are seeking an Assistant Engineer to support our Operations Support Systems (OSS) operations. In this role, you will work with a team of engineers to maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot our OSS systems, ensuring smooth and efficient network operations. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring various OSS system performances, identifying and resolving issues, implementing systems changes to improve performance and efficiency.

Your Role:

• Monitor OSS systems to ensure optimal system performance and uptime

• Act as a technical resource and point of escalation and helps identify and troubleshoot systems issues, coordinating with other teams as needed to resolve issues promptly

• Implement changes to the OSS systems to improve system performance and efficiency

• Implement proactive and continuous measures to maintain the stability of the OSS system

• Collaborate with the Engineering team to plan and execute system upgrades and expansions

• Create and maintain system documentation, including system diagrams, processes, and procedures

• Support system automation initiatives and help develop scripts and tools to automate network operations

• Adhere to company policies and procedures and maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity

To success to the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in​ Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

• 1-2 years of working experience in RAN and OSS network operations

• Understanding of LTE/5G RAN and OSS systems and protocols

• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Perl

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies

• Need to work weekends or nights to support maintenance or platform upgrades when needed

• Available to provide emergency support after office hours
