AVP, Product Management (Enterprise IoT and Mobility)
Role Overview
The AVP, Product Management (Enterprise IoT & Mobility) will lead the development, launch, and scaling of innovative IoT and mobility solutions for enterprise clients. This senior role focuses on managing enterprise-based product development, ensuring robust security, scalability and sustainability of the product. The role involves close collaboration across engineering, sales, marketing, operations, and external partners to drive connectivity innovations in a rapidly evolving market.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development & Strategy
- Lead the design, development, and lifecycle management of IoT and mobility products, including Connectivity Management Platforms, SIM/eSIM solutions, and enterprise connectivity offerings.
- Define the IoT product vision and strategy for enterprise segments, incorporating latest market trends in edge computing, real-time data processing, industrial IoT applications and multi networks for global coverage.
- Collaborate with connectivity teams to create bundled offerings with private network features to enhance product scalability and reliability.
Go-To-Market Execution
- Partner with Sales, Presales, and Marketing to develop GTM strategies, positioning, and enablement materials tailored to enterprise needs.
- Drive product launches and feature rollouts, incorporating user feedback, market intelligence, and iterative improvements to accelerate time-to-market and adoption.
Operational Excellence
- Streamline processes with Operations for ordering, configuration, billing, support, and lifecycle management using agile methodologies.
Performance & Innovation
- Track KPIs, dashboards for product health, including financial metrics and usage trends.
- Develop roadmaps that incorporate emerging market trends, customer demands, and feedback on existing products to foster continuous innovation.
Deliverables & KPIs
- Own Profit & Loss (P&L) for IoT product lines, managing revenue forecasting, costs, financial planning, and optimization for profitability.
- Publish quarterly product roadmaps with input from stakeholders and customers, emphasizing innovation and global deployment strategies.
- Monitor and report metrics like usage, customer satisfaction, time-to-market, profitability, adoption rates, device health, and environmental impact.
- Ensure smooth cross-functional execution across sales, marketing, provisioning, and support teams.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field;
- 7+ years in IoT Product Management, with demonstrated leadership in enterprise-scale projects within telecom or connectivity providers.
- Expertise in Connectivity Management platforms, SIM/eSIM, and end-to-end IoT ecosystems, including global deployments.
- In-depth knowledge of Mobile Core networks (4G/5G/5G RedCap, data/SMS/VoLTE, service delivery, IoT connectivity troubleshooting).
- Proven track record managing complex portfolios with P&L ownership, successful market launches, and experience in hybrid connectivity solutions.
Technical Skills
- Deep knowledge of IoT markets, enterprise use, SIM/eSIM development, mobile network architecture, cloud platforms.
- Hands-on experience with IoT/Travel SIM platforms, provisioning, billing, device management, data analytics.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks for global IoT deployments, and tools for real-time monitoring and automation.
- Proficiency in agile project management, APIs, and data-driven tools;
Soft Skills
- Must be excellent in English communication (written/verbal); Mandarin/Cantonese proficiency is essential.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration with engineering, sales, marketing, legal, finance, and external partners, driving innovation in a dynamic market.
- Strategic, analytical thinker with excellent customer-facing skills and data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to travel for customer meetings, industry events, and partner collaborations.
