Responsibilities:

• Firewall Management: Configure, manage, and maintain firewall systems across multiple platforms and environments.
• Security Monitoring: Continuously monitor network traffic for unusual or suspicious activity and respond to firewall-related security incidents.
• Policy Implementation: Develop and implement firewall policies and rules in accordance with the company’s security protocols.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Incident Response: Participate in the incident response team and assist in resolving security breaches and violations related to firewall configurations.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation for firewall configurations, changes, and upgrades.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other IT and cybersecurity team members to ensure a comprehensive security posture.
• Training: Provide training and guidance to other IT staff on best practices for network security and firewall management.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant security legislation, policies, and standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CompTIA Security+, or Cisco CCNA/CCNP Security.
• Proven experience in firewall administration, network security, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching.
