SOME OF YOUR TASKS WILL INCLUDE:

• Identify, test and evaluate opportunities and establish the right partnership and formal engagement to support cable cooperation and cable business initiatives with partners in EMEA regions, including cable diversity, backhaul and cable station cross-connections.
• Provide market Intelligence, market dynamics, and forecast analysis for subsea cable systems in the EMEA region
• Analyse customer needs and technological trends in the market and develop/customize product scope and budget estimation for new Submarine / Terrestrial projects. Develop new business, and opportunities for the growth in EMEA region and align the business strategy with other PCCW regional teams.
• Build strategic relationships with vendors, partners, and industry experts.
• Prepare profitability analysis on submarine cable-related projects, including new build, capacity and technology upgrades.
• Develop, review and evaluate various types of commercial and technical agreements e.g. supply contracts, C&MA, LPAs, Co-Investment agreements, Dark-Fiber acquisitions, spectrum acquisitions, etc in full coordination with the legal and planning team.
• Be able to access financial, and geopolitical risks, compliance standards, and changes in regulations associated with cable investments. § Collaborate with internal teams to identify and define strategic initiatives to meet expansion and cost reduction needs.
• Provide Pre-sales support on complex deals such as IRU, capacity rights, and buy-sell deals. Provide full support during the project execution, service deliverables, customer support, revenue recognition, collections, and other business-related activities.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• BS or BA degree (In lieu of degree, 5+ years relevant work experience)
• Industry experience with regard to Network infrastructure investment/planning and construction
• 5+ years of experience in submarine cable-related networking technologies and deployments Good knowledge and experience in submarine cable systems
• Ability to collaborate with cross-function teams and partners on potential cable projects
• Language: English required; French is a plus
