We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Writer/ Document Controller to join our team in Australia. 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Effectively manage a broad range of documentation projects for different teams across the

  • organisation

  • Undertake document control related activities and ensure all documentation is processed in

  • accordance with document control procedures in a timely manner

  • Manage logging, distribution, filing and archiving of controlled documents. Maintain

  • registers including document and records registers.

  • Produce documentation and create templates that support the operations of our

  • information security management systems including policies, procedures and work

  • instructions

  • Work collaboratively with developers, engineers, product managers and other subject

  • matter experts to create content for internal stakeholders and our customers

  • Review and update documentation to ensure compliance with applicable standards and

  • contract requirements

  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new documentation tools and methods in support of documentation development and improvement efforts

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure processing is completed consistently and in accordance with procedures

 

Core Competencies, Skills and Experience

 

  • Excellent communicator with a background in network or software engineering who can

  • write, publish and maintain accurate, high-quality content and documentation for internal

  • stakeholders and our customers

  • Experience in writing internal policy and procedure documentation

  • The ability to interpret highly technical information and present it in concise language that

  • can be understood by technical and non-technical audiences alike

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Demonstrated experience in document management systems, related methodologies,

  • strategies and systems

  • Highly developed organisational skills: the ability to manage and prioritise multiple

  • documentation projects across different teams, products and services

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbal; this includes the

  • ability to multi-task and work independently while thriving in a geographically distributed

  • team environment

  • Sound conceptual, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or an arts or language field, or an equivalent

combination of education and experience
