Senior Business Data Analyst

Role Overview

This team is focused on ensuring enterprise business analytics and intelligence. This team works closely with the business data consumers. As a business data analyst, you will play a critical role in uplifting the data capabilities by designing and implementing data analytics solutions to address the business needs.

Key Responsibilities 

• Translating business requirements into clearly defined data requirements
• Business analysis to understand business users requirements from the business analytics
• Serve as the bridge between business and data
• Design, build & maintain enterprise level business insights dashboards and reports
• Analyse and interpret data trends and patterns, and communicate the key findings to various stakeholders
• Collaborate and partner with SMEs, other data analysts & data scientists in the organisation
• Build the single source of truth via various means such as enterprise business glossary
• Business stakeholder engagement across multiple business functions
• Document business process flows
• Apply data modelling concepts to enable an economic value model for the business
• Run workshops to dive deeper into stakeholder needs
• Deliver insights on potential areas of growth, optimization, and improvements
• Identify and recommend new data and analytics capabilities and solutions that will enhance our overall data science capabilities.
• Ensure data quality leveraging relevant tools & techniques
• Proactively contribute towards data process improvements, data governance, data architecture and team process improvements
• Actively supporting strategic initiatives
• Work collaboratively in a lean-agile team and fostering lean-agile approaches

Minimum Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in designing and developing data solutions
• 10+ years’ experience working with business reporting
• Extensive experience with data visualisation and reporting experience
• Strong understanding of data visualisation and analytics concepts
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve in a systematic manner ∙
• Development and maintenance of various reports, metrics, tools and operational
• dashboards
• Prior business improvements driven via data analytics
• Ability to understand data implementation challenges and being able to tailor the analytics solutions accordingly
• Experience working with complex business data sets
• Proven problem-solving and creative thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information simply and effectively.
• Excels at working either independently and in a highly-collaborative environment.
• Self-learner who is interested in keeping current with the changing data and analytics landscape.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with google looker studio pro
• Experience in Lean-Agile Methodology
• Prior experience in implementing enterprise level dashboards
• Telecommunications industry experience
• Programming skills: JS, HTML, CSS, SQL, Python
• Prior ML & AI experience
