Senior Product Owner

Role Overview

Our Product Owners are responsible for defining product context and prioritizing the team backlog to streamline the execution of the mission statement
Product Owners work closely with the Product manager and feature teams to develop and launch high-quality products that meet our users’ needs and expectations.

Product Owners understand business, the technical context and the related enabler work. They have the ability to translate business requirements into features and stories. They participate in product management events, PI planning and other SAFe rituals. Working closely with product management and feature teams, they participate in team demos and retrospective.

Role Responsibilities

• Participate in feature workshops and PI events
• Translate complex concepts and processes into features and stories
• Contribute to feature creation, write user stories with the team members
• Create objectives and report/own eventual risks 
• Translate complex concepts and processes features and stories
• Define acceptance criteria and clearly communicate these with Epic owners and Trifecta
• Lead the system demos for the team
• Manage and follow up on the team KANBAN
• Ensure release on demand
• Align and coordinate expectation with regards to the non-functional requirements 

As a Lead, you will also: 

• Lead and coach your team 
• Define the best way to ensure business context in an Agile (SAFe) environment
• Assist in prioritization and drive quarterly planning for the team

Requirements

• Three or more years of experience in an engineering or product management role. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in network engineering or product management role
• Experience (officially or not) leading/coaching team members
• Experience with design thinking and a collaborative approach to create context and scope.
• Ability to work with Stakeholders and Product Teams to synthesis and articulate detailed requirements. Create features and stories that meet user needs and realize product vision.
• Ability to work closely with engineers to facilitate understanding and interpretation of the product roadmap 
• Demonstrable experience participating in story creation
• Strong written communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas and solutions to teams and stakeholders.
• Previous Product owner experience is a big bonus.
• Experience working in an Agile environment will be highly regarded.
