Senior IT Support Officer

Location: Athens, Greece

Work arrangement: Onsite (5 days in Office)

Job Summary

The IT Support Specialist will provide essential technical support to the Athens office, including the Athens Security Operations Centre (ASoC), serving 59 staff members. This role ensures reliable IT systems, maintains high system uptime, and supports operational efficiency through server maintenance, network troubleshooting, and software integration. The specialist will deliver timely resolution of IT issues and support ISO auditing requirements to ensure a seamless and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain 99.9% system uptime through proactive monitoring and maintenance of servers, networks, and IT infrastructure.

  • Resolve 95% of IT incidents within 4 hours, providing on-site and remote technical support to staff.

  • Implement security patches and updates to maintain system integrity and comply with ISO audit standards.

  • Support deployment and configuration of enterprise systems.

  • Assist in onboarding new systems, completing setup and training within 30 days.

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

  • Support facilities systems such as CCTV and door access, ensuring compliance with environment standards.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot video conferencing systems to support seamless communication.

  • Document IT processes, incidents, and resolutions to support ISO auditing requirements and operational reference.

  • Collaborate with the IT Operations team to optimize system performance and reliability.

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive IT and personnel data, particularly during offboarding processes.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 2+ years of experience in IT support, preferably in a corporate or operations environment.

  • Proficiency in server management, network troubleshooting, and software deployment.

  • Knowledge of ISO audit compliance requirements and IT system security practices.

  • Experience with facilities systems (e.g., CCTV, door access) and environment standards is preferable.

  • Knowledge of video conferencing systems and support is preferred.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on timely incident resolution.

  • Familiarity with Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile device support (iOS, Android).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support diverse staff needs.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

  • Full-time role based in the Athens office.

  • Occasional on-call availability for urgent IT issues.

  • Collaborative setting with the IT Operations team and cross-functional departments.
