Project Manager [1 Year Fixed Term Contract]

Role Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for providing quality provisioning and project management services to Enterprise & Wholesales customers to fulfill their international telecommunications needs. The PMs work closely with local and regional Service Partners and Providers as well as PCCW operations and Sales teams. PMs ensure services are delivered on time and in a cost effective manner whilst providing a high level of customer service. Services included but not limited to Fiber (IPLC, IEPL), IP (MPLS, GIA), ATM, FR, and global VSAT
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage and track project deliverables for multiple site implementations, including wholesale and enterprise customers, across the various PCCWG product suite
- Single point of contact managing internal and customer kick-offs. Overseeing the project deliverables are collated upfront and ensuring that the scope is in line with our client’s expectations
- High level of customer service via effective communication throughout the project(s) lifecycle. Ensure accurate and frequent project update status is provided to both internal and external customers. Maximum customer satisfaction is expected.
- Active follow of project critical milestone points, whilst constantly seeking to mitigate risk. (Pursuing vendors, partners and internal teams for committed dates, Customer updates, Scheduling of resources)
- Ensure all internal guidelines/processes are followed and all administration work related to projects are accurately completed. The list includes –
- Budget Request and Purchase Request processes
- Accurate and regularly internal systems (weekly)
- Review and update system project forecast (weekly)
- Promptly acceptance of vendor handovers to avoid payment issues.
- Ad-hoc reports requested by management
- Supporting Project bids
Essential Functions
- Manage all phases of project development to ensure customer satisfaction, project continuity and internal consistency
- Develop project schedules and processes to ensure internal/external customer satisfaction, project continuity and the timely delivery of services
- Prepare regular progress, project status and problem resolution reports.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure equipment and services are ordered and installed to meet requirements and specifications.
- Maintain cost elements in cost database via budget request and PR/PO creation and renewals.
Qualifications
- University degree holder with relevant professional qualifications status desired.
- Minimum 5 to 7 year’s experience of which 3 to 5 years are in telecommunications industry
- Extensive knowledge in various telecommunications products and services, in particular international and managed/customized services, plus good knowledge in network technology and operation.
- Possess extensive experience of dealing with internal and external customers/sales personnel at all levels on services and project delivery matters.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills. Clear oral and written communications to effectively exchange information, detail project status, and answer questions in a clear logical manner.
- Good command of spoken and written English is required.
- Strong customer services sense and mind set.
- Confident, independent and able to work under pressure
