Lead Engineer, Global MPLS Services

Seeking an experienced Lead MPLS Network Engineer to play a pivotal role in the active development and enhancement of our Tier 1 IP backbone. The ideal candidate will have a substantial background in MPLS-based services, including deployment and management of both L3 and L2 MPLS VPNs, coupled with a solid grasp of core routing protocols like BGP and ISIS. While CCIE certification is appreciated, we prioritize demonstrated expertise and enthusiasm for MPLS network engineering. 

Key Responsibilities 
● Network Implementation: Direct configuration and enhancement of MPLS-based network solutions, focusing on the deployment of L3 and L2 MPLS VPN services to elevate our Tier 1 IP backbone's performance. 
● Technical Mastery: Utilize in-depth knowledge of MPLS, BGP, and ISIS to refine our routing infrastructure, ensuring efficient and dependable network operations.
● Security Enhancements: Proactively establish advanced DDoS mitigation techniques and comprehensive security protocols to fortify the MPLS infrastructure. 
● Service Delivery Excellence: Oversee the deployment of MPLS VPN solutions, collaborating with customers to create bespoke solutions that cater to their unique requirements. 
● Advanced Troubleshooting: Employ superior troubleshooting skills to resolve complex network issues promptly, maintaining operational continuity.
● Mentorship and Team Development: Provide guidance and share expertise with the engineering team, promoting an environment conducive to technical advancement and learning. 
● Industry Engagement: Contribute insights and experiences at industry forums, enriching the broader network engineering community with practical knowledge.
● Customer and Vendor Engagement: Directly interact with customers to understand their needs and manage vendor relationships to uphold service standards and innovation. 
● Innovation and Service Development: Drive the development of new IP services, identifying opportunities for innovation and ensuring alignment with industry trends and customer demands.
● Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all IP services comply with relevant regulations and industry standards, maintaining the highest levels of integrity and professionalism. 


Qualifications 
● Proven expertise in MPLS network engineering, especially in L2 and L3 MPLS VPN technologies. 
● Extensive experience configuring and optimizing BGP and ISIS in large-scale networks. 
● A strong track record in implementing network security measures, including DDoS mitigation strategies. 
● Demonstrated leadership skills with a history of guiding teams and fostering professional growth. 
● Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a knack for quick and efficient issue resolution. 
● Strong communication skills, adept at explaining complex technical concepts and collaborating effectively with diverse teams and clients.
