Full Stack Web Developer

Position Location: Athens, Greece    

This is a full-time position with hybrid working arrangement (3-4 times a month in office)

Role Overview

In this role, you'll collaborate closely with designers, product owners, and other engineers to develop and maintain our web platform products. You'll gain experience with both front-end and back-end technologies, contributing to all stages of the development lifecycle. This role will require a strong foundation in full-stack development principles who is eager to learn and grow within a collaborative environment.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Work closely with seniors regarding product components and features, analyzing and decomposing the features, turning wireframes and sketches into working prototypes and translating prototypes into launch ready code 
  • Develop robust APIs for use in frontend components and backend systems
  • Develop frontend and backend components, ensuring the integrity of the code throughout the development process
  • Use implementation best practices to build high-quality components and solutions
  • Manage changes in a shared repository
  • Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with the Seniors and Product Owners to create and refine user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Participate in PI Planning and create and commit to iteration plans and team PI Objectives
  • Estimate the size and complexity of their work
  • Participate in product accessibility, usability, security, architecture, and documentation reviews 
  • Contribute to Agile SCRUM activities such as daily standup, sprint planning and retrospective meetings
  • Use pairing and other practices for frequent review
  • Complete features and bug fixes using the test driven development process and participate in code review
  • Determine the technical design in their area of concern, within architectural guidelines
  • Conduct research, prototyping, and other exploratory activities
  • Actively look for opportunities to enhance standards and improve code quality and development process efficiency

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or a related field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience developing full stack applications with a focus on performance and scalability
  • Strong foundation in frontend and backend technologies and tooling, including JavaScript, React, Node.js, relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL) 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with mongodb, BPMN (e.g. Camunda) and Java/Kotlin development
