Business Development Manager

Your New Role:

We are looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to join the Online Business Team. In this role, you will identify, develop, and close partnership opportunities that grow revenue and brand value through artist merchandise, fan experiences, and related commercial activities. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to unlock new collaboration channels while exploring practical ways to leverage AI tools for market insights and opportunity identification.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, negotiate, and manage IP collaboration opportunities (co-branded products, licensing, limited-edition collections, and cross-promotions).
  • Secure sponsorships for fan meetings, concerts, and related events; build sustainable sponsor relationships and deliver clear commercial value.
  • Source and develop artist opportunities, including paid appearances, brand partnerships, and merchandise-linked engagements that align with the artist’s image.
  • Drive e-shop collaborations, including exclusive online drops, co-branded product launches, and performance-driven retail partnerships.
  • Develop and manage merchant relationships covering licensing, distribution, wholesale, and revenue-sharing models for physical and digital merchandise.
  • Use AI-assisted tools where appropriate to support market research, trend spotting, competitor analysis, and prioritisation of high-potential partnership leads.
  • Prepare commercial proposals, pitch materials, and term sheets; support negotiations through to contract signature and ongoing partner management.
  • Track partnership performance, report on revenue and KPIs, and continuously refine collaboration strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with merchandising, artist management, marketing, legal, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of deals.

 

What makes you succeed: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in business development or related field, previous experience in the entertainment industry will be a plus.
  • Proven experience in business development, partnerships, or commercial roles within entertainment, music, lifestyle, retail, or consumer brands.
  • Strong track record of closing sponsorship, IP, merchandise, e-commerce, or artist-related deals.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercial mindset with attention to detail and a results-oriented approach.
  • Comfortable exploring and applying AI tools for research and opportunity prioritization.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively across teams.
  • Familiarity with the local/regional entertainment and fan economy ecosystem is an advantage
