Senior Manager, Monetization

Your role

The major accountability of the Senior Manager – Monetization is to accelerate the growth of Viu’s D2C Subscription business in Indonesia. Viu’s D2C business covers the following broad areas –

• In-app payments (IAP) revenue from end-users purchasing and renewing their Viu Premium subscriptions on Viu Android & IOS Apps
• One-time and recurring payments made by end-users on Viu website
• Revenues on 3rd party storefronts e.g. e-commerce & e-banking
• Revenues from joint bundles with non-Telco/ISP partners e.g. other OTTs
• In the capacity of a Senior Manager - Monetization, the hire will coordinate across internal and externals stakeholders to get Viu free users to upgrade to Viu Premium and continue renewing their subscriptions to watch Viu Premium titles. The responsibilities include:
• Working closely with internal Viu teams viz Content, Marketing & Product Management to maximize impact across the end-user lifecycle – watch free episodes (upper funnel) >>> upgrade to Viu Premium >>> renew subscription >>> churn win-back using content, pricing, product features & optimized marketing campaigns
• Driving new partnerships and expand transaction avenues with existing partners such as e-wallets, banks, e-commerce, and the like
• Driving growth partnerships with OEM companies (likes of smartphones, Smart TVs, tablets etc.) and entertainment avenues viz. cinema theatre, ticketing companies etc. Enable this audience to access and subscribe to Viu by using the power of Viu’s titles.
• Reporting against board, country, and department metrics to grow, drive & derisk a high value business through enhanced consumer lifetime & LTV

To Succeed in this Role

• Minimum of 8 years sales experience within digital premium content sales and/or digital payments industry. Have a proven record of overachieving consumer focused pay sub growth.
• Well-networked up to ‘C’ level, across relevant partner ecosystem organizations
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
• Resilient, determined, and can handle pressure situations with ease.
• Should be able to implement processes and structure for high efficiency.
• Excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills leading to negotiations and quick deals.
• Good organizational, people management skills and customer focused attitude.
• Well-read and passionate about Korean/Asian dramas – must be a Viu ‘fan’
• Highly fluent (spoken and written) in English and Bahasa Indonesia
