Java Spring Boot Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Java Spring Boot Developer to develop and maintain enterprise applications. The role involves coding, troubleshooting, performing peer code reviews, and working closely with offshore development teams to resolve technical issues and ensure quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Perform peer code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to development standards.
• Collaborate with offshore developers to clarify requirements and provide technical guidance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, defects, and performance problems.
• Participate in application design discussions and technical reviews.
• Support system integration, testing, and deployment activities.
• Review and improve existing code for better performance and maintainability.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in Java application development.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Java 8 or above
• Spring Boot
• Spring MVC
• Spring Data JPA / Hibernate
• RESTful API development
• Maven or Gradle
• Git
• SQL databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL)
• Experience in debugging and problem-solving.
• Familiarity with code review processes and coding best practices.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with offshore teams.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
