Senior Java Developer

Working Location: Foshan, PRC
Experience: 5-8 years

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, development, enhancement and support of enterprise applications and digital solutions.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
• Design and develop backend services using Java, Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts and stakeholders to deliver business requirements.
• Participate in system integration design and implementation with internal and external platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring system stability and performance.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
• Support DevOps activities including CI/CD pipeline implementation, release deployment and environment management.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance when required.
• Prepare technical documentation, solution design documents and operational procedures.
• Participate in project planning, estimation and risk assessment activities.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems and processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related disciplines.
• 5-8 years of software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot development.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with source control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI or OpenShift.
• Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as OpenShift, AWS or GCP.
• Experience in financial services, pension, insurance or banking systems.
• Experience leading small development teams or acting as technical lead.
• Knowledge of system performance tuning and application monitoring tools.
