Vice President, Product, Planning and Procurement

The Vice President – Head of Product, Planning & Procurement is responsible for leading the strategic direction and execution of product management, demand and supply planning, and procurement functions. This role ensures alignment across the product lifecycle, optimizes supply chain efficiency, and drives cost effectiveness while supporting business growth and operational excellence.
 

1. Product Management & Strategy

  • Define and drive the overall product strategy aligned with business objectives
  • Oversee product lifecycle management from development to end-of-life
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Operations) to identify market needs and opportunities
  • Lead pricing strategies, product positioning, and portfolio optimization
  • Monitor product performance and implement improvements to maximize profitability

2. Planning (Demand & Supply)

  • Lead demand forecasting, supply planning, and inventory management processes
  • Ensure accurate sales and operations planning (S&OP) to balance demand and supply
  • Optimize inventory levels to improve cash flow and service levels
  • Develop and implement planning systems, tools, and best practices
  • Mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions

3. Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to achieve cost efficiency and quality standards
  • Lead sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor selection processes
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and performance management frameworks
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements

4. Leadership & Transformation

  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams across product, planning, and procurement functions
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and alignment across departments
  • Champion digital transformation initiatives (e.g., automation, data analytics)
  • Establish KPIs and monitor performance against business targets
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation

Key Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Minimum 12–15 years of relevant experience, with at least 5–8 years in leadership roles
  • Proven track record in product management, supply chain planning, and procurement
  • Experience managing large, cross-functional teams
